We've debated for a while on whether we want to print out programs or not and we've finally decided against it. We'll be having a framed chalk board set up with the information for guests...sort of like this one:
We may even have one for the buffet menu as well. We're trying to cut costs as well as cutting the paper waste. How many people do you know actually KEEP the programs from weddings or the menus? I never have...I know, that may or may not make me a bad person. I'm making up for my waste in the past by not wasting in the present.
What do you guys think?...good idea?

totally a good idea! As long as you have one thing that we can hang on to (and so can you!) to remember your wedding, I think that's enough. I have your save-the-date, we will have invitations too... I think if people wanted to save the records they could, and you certainly can if you so desire - I like it guys, good thinking :0) You could even use the chalk board spray paint and spray it onto whatever surface you want to use for your info/menu "chalk boards" - maybe a cool old mirror you find at a thrift store, or a budget something you can buy, spray, and decorate... just a thought... love to you both, Mack
ReplyDeleteMack that's a great idea! We'll be popping into the thrift shop this weekend...I'll post what we find to turn into our framed menus & programs.
ReplyDeleteMiss you and love ya tons!
